Started gambling on horses and football when I was 18. Was hooked on that for years and then successfully quit it all for about 2 years.
Then I convinced myself that “investing” was smart and I was smart. Load of shit.

17 years gambler. 7 figures in losses. Bankruptcy, failed businesses, lost partners, almost 2 decades gone.
Casino, stocks , sports, all the same devil disguised in a different mask. Did them all.
Once the compulsion takes over, it doesn’t matter what we’re betting on.
Formula is simple. Good news is you experienced it. Those two years gamble free are not lost.
This is just a reminder that you cannot gamble in any form. And now that you know that, you will make it well past 2 years.
Dont let this be your identity. This is not your final chapter, this is the beginning of a new book.

You need to lock yourself out from the apps. Block everything. Carry cash. If you have a savings or money that you wanna kinda keep accessible. Put it in a etf on the stock market. If you need to withdraw it. You won’t a have access to it for 24 hours so it gives you time to stop yourself. You also can’t with draw after 4 pm or before 930 am. Or on the weekends.
