Central Ohio School Closures and Delays for Tuesday: What to Know
Many major school districts have canceled classes for Tuesday.
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Parents and students are keeping a close eye on school closures as communities dig themselves out of a foot of snow while battling brutally cold temperatures.

As of Monday afternoon, several school districts have announced closures for Tuesday, including:

- Hilliard City Schools
- Pickerington Local Schools
- Gahanna-Jefferson City Schools
- Groveport Madison Local Schools
- Whitehall City Schools
- Worthington Schools
- Pickerington Schools

- South Western City Schools

Columbus, Ohio Forecast for Jan. 26, 2026
A major winter storm moved through the region, and it dropped significant amounts of snowfall. Reports of 8″-16″+ have been widespread across central Ohio. You can find a full list of snow reports here.
With the snow clearing out, bitter arctic air will settle into central Ohio over the next several days, especially Monday night into Tuesday morning. From there, arctic air will continue through the rest of the week.
